Suspended Pushup

In keeping with the blog’s recent pushup craze I’m posting a video of suspended pushups.  These are a fantastic pushup variation with the intermediate/advanced athlete.  Pushups have many benefits for both performance and injury prevention/rehab.  They get even better in my opinion for the stronger athlete when you add in the stability component that performing these on rings gives you.

As we discussed in my PUSHUP REVIEW article, the suspended pushup challenges the abdominals more than the standard pushup.  Placing the hands on an unstable surface also increases triceps activity.
